As of  20 September 2022, placement tests in foreign languages applicable in the academic year 2022/2023 have been launched on the Moodle platform  . First-year students are asked to take a test in one foreign language corresponding to the language course, which will start with the first semester of part-time studies.

Placement tests have been prepared for the following language courses (foreign languages):

– English
– Spanish
– German
– Russian language

Logging in to placement tests:

  1. The student is obliged to report to the coordinator of the Teams platform egolebiowska@ult.edu.pl
  2. Log in to the placement test after receiving a link to the Teams platform in your email
  3. After logging in, choose one language from the pool of languages offered

Placement test deadline: from  20 September 2022 to 07 October 2022

The purpose of the placement test is to determine the level of language proficiency of the examinee in relation to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and to assign students to the appropriate level. Taking the placement test is mandatory for first-year students. After completing the placement test, the student receives information about the level of foreign language proficiency (the result will be assigned to one of the levels A1, A2, B1, B2). The student will start the first semester of classes in the language course at the level corresponding to the result obtained in the placement test.

Procedure for choosing a second foreign language

  1. The student is required to learn a second foreign language (language course) as part of the study program.
  2. The selection is made from the following languages:

English
German
Spanish

  1. As part of the language course, the student may not choose the main language of the specialization.
  2. Between 20 September and 7 October, students are required to take a placement test to determine the level of language proficiency in relation to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and to assign them to an appropriate level of language learning.
  3. Taking the placement test is mandatory for first-year students.
  4. The placement test takes place online via the Moodle platform.
  5. After completing the placement test, the student receives information about the level of foreign language proficiency.
  6. In order to be assigned to a language course of a chosen language, a student should obtain a level of min. A2 (CEFR). Otherwise, the University offers the student a remedial course in a given language, the aim of which is to raise the level of language proficiency to the level of min. A2.
